Hi Ted and everyone else,

I am in the same boat as Frances.

Can anyone tell me how to get my two reviews into Praze?

When I click the logical button called Submit, it starts me back all over again asking for the name of my website.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I just wat to get this out of the way and complete Assignment 1 !!

Regards, Bill Oldham

Hi Ted,

I have completed both my praze reviews but the system is still telling me that I have two to complete. I do not seem to have skipped any questions. Should I just ignore it??

Hi,

Sorry I have not been posting at all lately.  I have had a very bad case of tonsillitis and am only just starting to come right.  I am going to go and try to complete my reviews over the next few days, but its report writing at the moment so it may be slow going.

Thanks,

Betina

Hi Ted

Are we supposed to post our ' evaluation questions as outlined on the Assessment (for May 31) here or had this now been catered too in Praae. Jenny and I did post some on our Evaluation wiki page but am not sure if this was superceded by the Praze evaluation questions. Link below

http://flepeerappraisal.wikispaces.com/

Also Ted just to clarify. Since Jenny and I have completed project collaboratively, we have worked together on the general audience and purpose/ reason  behind each LMS Blog Wiki, journal, ........  etc together including some research to support why use ......Education( similiar to last year???) So do we send one combined report(we have worked on this extensively together) and  then individually send you our personal reflection on peers appraisal, personal reflections on sucess of project within school, problems and sucesses encountered and who did what, including relevant research as an individual report ?

Hi,

Does anyone (SUE?) know how to reduce the actual size of a JING recording so that it does not take up so much room on the page???

Hi Everyone

Ted I've sent an email to you with my assignment (first) are you able to tell me if you got it and what you think about it.

At this stage I won't be attending the class tomorrow as I have a school thing, but my back was incredibly sore today so I may be unable to make the function.

Also there is only one Praze review up, is this right for mine?

To my reviewer, thanks for your nice words. In regard with the movie size, I tried to upload it as full movie to several sites, including my own website, but sadly no sites would allow you to upload a 106 mb movie (including Youtube) and hence I had to cut it into three sections and make it small, which was really annoying (as it has been made full screen), however showing it at school would solve that problem). I thought I should tell you as I spent several hours trying to solve that problem, so it was something that I did not overall look or take lightly. However I do understand your comments as I completely agree with you.

Thanks

Matt

I have updated the entry point for Assignment 2. It should now be entered through http://westminsterunder4s.blogspot.com/.

Please use the site above to lodge any comments/critisms rather than the wikispace as I would like to keep that for the boys.

Thanks,

Hi Everyone,

Ted I have been trying to access Praze to review and answer the evaluation questions but I am not able to access both. One does not open, then other requires a password to access the site. Can you please check both of my reviews. Thanks

Hi Guys

I attended a Technology Conference in Coffs Harbour this week - so much is happening. But for some light (and thoughtful) entertainment take a look at Johnny Lee - PHd Student at Carnegie Uni. He has developed/created some amazing uses for the Wii remote. Take a look at this one and then follow the links to his others.

Cheers Sue

Hi guys,

I have fixed my wikisite. Hate to admit it but may have been my own stupidity that caused the problem!

I have attached a copy of Assignment 2 VLE proposal for those interested.

ACCESS THROUGH http://westminsterunder4s.blogspot.com/. There are some instructions on here you want to have a go but are not listed on praze to review this site.

Hi everyone

I know I shouldn't write here unless it is subject specific (but I'm also aware that this one of the most viewed areas of the subject LMS) but I just wanted to apologise for being unable to make it the lecture tonight. I've been sick with the flu for about a week; all my projects are backed up at work and I now have to make up for lost time. I need to go back to work shortly. Enjoy, and I'll speak to you next Wednesday

Please check out my blogspot for an update on my Assignment...a little hitch.

Please excuse my lateness for submitting my praze review, as you will see from my blogspot there have been some issues. We are on holidays on Tuesday so should have it updated by then. I am really sorry for holding everyone up, I never usually hand things in late! Kiss

Apologies I will not be online this week as I have Sports Day.

First question is one for Ted. Raghda and I have submitted individual projects to Praze. How will this affect the report that we want to submit together?

Second part is just a comment hoping to get thoughts from others. As I have been looking at the Web 2.0 technologies (podcast, screen cast, youtube/teachertube,etc.), I notice how some of the resources are like stars in the sky-brilliant in the way that they present voice/video to explain a point such as Wikis in Plain English.

Are we better off as classroom teachers to leave the planning, scripting, recording, filming, editing to the experts?

For myself,  I would rather use my time efficiently (savings in time, cost, effort) choosing quality resources that have already been created by experts rather than waste time putting something together that is extremely boring. My time spent teaching is then more effective (improved product, output or service).

Finally, there is the anecdotal story about the TAFE IT/Business/Accounting teacher that canceled the class because the computers were down and was not able to come up with something else to do. (I know, I know. You're saying, "But isn't that the way with all TAFE teachers?) <:o)

Regards, Bill Oldham
